A plead for my lady

by Sarah   Mar 14, 2008

The heart has reasons that reason cannot understand!
If I am the master of my heart, then how can I be a servant to its demand ?
Shall I let thee be & cry over all that we had ?
Do I stand another chance to prove what's lurking within my hand ?
Despite our differences & blood,
All I seek & long for is your heart..
My lady my pride,
Will you hear out the plead of a young man?
I hang on for dear life; hopping for a glimpse to shed the light..
My love to thee will never pale,
Nor will it fade or die..
Take my hand and let us unite..
I'll honor & treasure you with all my might..
This I promise you my dear..
My heart belongs to thee as long as I can be..

Eh, I'm not a fan of freestyle. I used to love freestyle when I was first starting out poetry and I think it's the absolute BEST type of poetry to start out on for beginers, but I think you could do wayyy better than this. I know you can, you won a contest of mine. ^_^
