Regret

I rush up to my great grandma, big smile across my face
I glance at her, while she lays
I look around the room - nothing to say
How did she get this way?
It seems like just the other day
That we were laughing & playing

She glances at me, & sees that I'm bored
& tells me to leave
Without thinking, i say goodbye & leave
I come back home,
As the months pass
I didn't think it'd happen so fast

My parents tell me that my great grandma passed away that day
Tears stream down, needless to say

I could of spent more time with her, before her death
But instead of staying, I left
The last time i saw her, was at her funeral
I think of it, & i regret it so much;
She'll never know.
