Didn't Know I Missed You

by talesha   Mar 19, 2008

I now know; I missed you.
This very moment validates that your presence
Brought life and at the same time burned a little too.
Excited my compassion and inner sense.
I am living again for a day
Until it grows fainter again. Thus,
I live for this moment of uncomplicated existence of us,
Where only one thing matters-to just be in each other's presence.
No obligations to please, or to maintain a fence
A boundary, an superfluous synthetic face.
I could be me and it'll be completely fine,
And you'll still look at me with desired fondness.
Smile of weary lips would secretly complain
How much you missed me equally.
But not a word-no criticize.
This kind of day, where reality never bites
Where laughter never falters.
This kind of day reminds me how much I miss
How much I long for you
Your kiss

The simplicity of your poetry is amazing because it stirs up such emotions that are not so simple. The wholesome love that you describe, I hope I find it someday. 5/5
