If

by fallenforever   Mar 20, 2008

If i could spend,
another hour with you,
there's no doubt,
what we would do,
we'd go fishing,
just you and i,
we'd talk and laugh,
smile and cry,
we'd turn each second,
into eternity,
each minute,
into a memory,
you'd pass on wisdom,
you'd gained through your years,
i would listen quietly,
trying to hold back tears,
but that hour,
would eventually pass,
and I'd find my self wishing,
that it could have last,
unfortunately that can never be,
because you had to leave,
but i find myself still loving you,
and knowing you still love me.

To my Pop,
who died all those years ago,
i wish i could have known you better,
your loving granddaughter
