Another eating disorder poem

by Amy   Mar 24, 2008

She needs to be pretty
She needs to be thin
She takes a deep breath
And weighs herself again

The number is huge
This is way too much fat
There is only one way
That she can fix that

No food for today
No food for tomorrow
Although she is hungry
She feels no real sorrow

Slowly but surely
The number decreases
Her body is beautiful
But her soul is in pieces

She needs to eat
She knows that it's true
But now she's addicted
Her diet's not through

The cycle has started
She fears it has no end
She wants to be normal
But being thin is her friend
