These Laments In my Skin.

Laments In My Skin...

These laments in my skin aren't tearing me apart.
The saddest things about me, I keep locked within my heart.
I fear the thought of what they'll say - Just what cruel people think.
I don't see why I care, to my dismay - I'm on the brink.

These laments in my skin, may show my secret pain,
But I got them in my time of need, these laments keep me sane.
A secret is only a secret, before it escapes your lips,
These laments, they won't stab my back, only drip blood to my finger tips.

These laments in my skin - are what I have to bare...
Only because there's no one - in this world who'd dare to care.
These laments are my scars, they remind me of lost dreams.
They remind me of just why people... tear me by my seams.

These laments on my skin, so deep with no regret.
To catch the tears that have been spilt, to make me stronger - yet.
These laments are my destiny... my lover's inspirations.
These laments will not judge me, because they have no expectations.
