The Keeper of Peace

by Marius Laun   Mar 26, 2008

The keeper of peace
Lives a hard life
taking hits and blows
To lessen other's pain.
But what good does it do?
Who does this help?
It does all the good
and it helps those in need.
There's never thanks or appreciation,
Yet being the Keeper of peace
Is a reward in itself.
And I wouldn't stop my work
Even to regain the lost
Or gain something just as good.
I'll take this life of pain,
To do all that I can
To earn my rightful place
In The Kingdom of Heaven

This was a tad confusing for me.
It kind of all just flew over the top of my head.
The structure and all the gramatical things were good
    but emotionally i didn't understand.

This is nicely written but it's not amongst my favorite writes from you. I don't want to offend you but I think that this poem lack captivating atmosphere that would pull the reader in the message that you're trying to portray. That is, of course, just my personal opinion.
