The Voice

by Coldstone   Mar 29, 2008

The shining sun, the morning sky
Between tears of clouds the birds fly
A voice whispered "Forever loyal i'll remain"
I should have known it was a lie
The rocky shore with mud so slime
The peaceful view like a nursery rhyme
The same voice whispered "we'll be friends forever"
But time changes and forever is a long long time
Like a picture in the rain with a pretty frame
The colours didn't last the frame burnt with a bright flame
I now long to hear the whispering voice
Lonely nights, only myself to blame
With hopeless eyes and skin a coarse texture
Pain my main feature iam now a changed creature
The voice that once guided me in the ways of life
Is now lost leaving ahead of me a crippled future!
