Walk on by

by charlie   Mar 30, 2008

When you saw me crying what did you think?
"oh god theres another girl whose teetering on the brink"
walk past me with your head down you don't say a word
Cos helping out a friend god thats obsurd!

i need you here to help me i cant do this alone
all i ask of you is to pick up the damn phone
leave me a message i need to hear your voice
Cos here right now I'm left with only the 1 choice.

i never asked to do this this is just my way
every time they hurt me its my arms that pay
my legs my hips my stomach never a spot left bare
but why am i telling you this u would never care

I'm reaching out to you again but it falls on deaf ears
I'm in need of help I'm confiding in you my fears
look i cant eat sleep or think straight help is all i ask
I'm sick of hiding behind this every day fake mask

I'm not trying to be selfish i just need a friend
all i want is this part of my life to finely end
surely thats a good thing? that i want to stop?
you don't need to come running everything to drop

as she sit there crying and you just walk on by
think of that poor girl the reason she might cry
offer her a tissue wipe her damp eyes
ask her the reasons why she sits here and cries

that offer of affection might just save her life
might just stop her going home and turning to the knife
so think of this next time you put down your head
just think of all those thing you could of just said.
