Why can't I let you go

Its a constant battle every day to set my heart free as I know that I don't pertain to you.

Its uncanning when you are on my mind all day, and never once do I cross yours.

It's inevitable to not hate you when I want you and you keep pushing me away.

yet, I continue grasping for air hoping that one day I will be the forsaken one.

But till then me heart will continue breaking, rupturing it's vessel from the anguishment of not being with you.

    Hey, this poem is painful too

    unfortunatelty you can not force people to love you so it's better to find someone who will share everything with you. it may be hard and painful to leave the one that you love but once you find someone who truely willing to share everything with you, you will love him more and more

    I often wonder if i do cross someones mind when it doesnt appear that they think of me. i know the hurt you are describing. i dont have any words to ease the pain. :(
