I ' m preparing myself to ask you the biggest question of our relationship ; My heart is beating and the perspiration is ready to fall in large drops -- All of the sudden my mouth has decided to go dry ; Dry just like the desert at the peak of a drought [ I Suddenly Forgot All Of The Meaningful Words I Had Oh So Perfectly Planned To Say ] I still remember the pitiful way you begged for [ one ] last chance ; I could only resist for so long -- If only I was strong enough to let go . . .

Even after all of that , you ' re still the only thing on my mind - Well , the part that was not damaged by the lack of oxygen during the " swimming incident . " What [ everyone else ] does not know , it was not incident , I just wanted to see if you would really get your pretty little hands wet in attempt to save me : But let me tell you , you look even more beautiful from under water than up close ; I still remember the way you laughed as you watched me screaming from the pool side . . .

Every now and then I get the courage to look through an old shoe box filled with our two - years worth of memories ; Sometimes I cry , other times I get so mad I shred another picture or burn a dozen or so more of your love letters that I always read way too deep in to -- I guess some things will never change ; And till this day , I know you would never risk a decrease in your ego for me and I would still go to the farthest yard just for a little amount of your attention . . .
