So Far Away

by Timothy   Apr 3, 2008

So far away,
Into the void we are cast;
Limited in number,
The future we face, forgetting the past.

The moon, Mars, Saturn, are gone,
Now we distance the Sun;
Only one small colony left,
And a new chapter has begun.

Distant worlds await,
But hope is uncertain;
Now with our history lost,
We wish we could pull back destiny's curtain.

Years have gone by,
We fight an enemy without substance;
Loneliness is hellish,
And all we have is our reluctance.

There is no new home,
We have been trailing a fairytale;
We look now to our Savior,
And likewise are crucified, with the driving of the nail.
