Greed and Corruption

by John Bowlby   Apr 4, 2008

We are trapped by a
Capitalistic craze:
Not fighting to survive,
But killing for profit.
Greed has won,
And humanity lost
As we make billions through
The innocent massacre
Of Mistrust.

Our enemies are not of flesh,
And are not of blood or bone.
Our enemies lie within our
Twisted, malignant selves,
And feed off of our need to kill
Mercilessly, savagely, heartlessly,
The ill-fated victims of greed;
The unfortunate, pure Saints who,
Unlike our fiendish selves,
Have escaped the far reach
Of greed and corruption.
