Far, Far Away From Home

by ChrisT   Apr 6, 2008

These dreams of hate and blood
Come at me in a lifeless flood
Like the tears of a million mothers
Who's lost their sons and brothers
Still I'd rather be dead
As I stand here helpless in red;
As an unforgiving wave sweeps me away;
As my eyesight fades to grey;
As the feeling of love no longer lingers,
And the life leaves me drip by drip from my fingers.

Yet I still stand here
Facing every single fear
Still wondering what I should do
I'm going insane, because of you
There's just something wrong with me-
My mind, is just a sickness you see
Even if I drink 'til I'm ill
Even then I'll be thinking of you still
You're just in my mind over and over
I fight every day to keep from being sober
And pray for the day
When the unforgiving wave sweeps me away
Tearing love from it's endless roam
And settling me far, far away from home

    Wow. Just. I'm speechless. This one has to be one of your best. I love this one. The words...I have felt that way before as well. <3 5/5
