Football!

Stadium crammed by ecstatic fans
Players anxiously await the start
Waving banners, rooting, clapping their hands
The referees blow their whistles; it pumps their hearts

The kicker kicks the ball to the sky
The crowd goes quiet, as it seems to fly
The ball is caught and returned to center field
Blockers keep their eyes peeled

The ball is hiked; the halfback is on the run
The crowd roars as he is a fast one
He dodges and dips
He laughs as the blocker slips

He’s free to the score
The team need not worry anymore
The victors’ brim with pride
The opposing team has been denied

The super bowl is done
In all it is agreed it was great fun
They are awarded a great ring
Being forever remembered is an amazing thing
