Artistically Broken

by NyellMoonlight   Apr 8, 2008

Lilies bloom over the shards of mutilated conscience
embedding stinging roots into its pedestal of ice;
fragrance of fallacies recolor my inner tunes
replaying rosy sad songs, notes of painful revelation.

Silver moon is spilling its distorted acridness
over the world sketched with charcoal deceptions;
I had inky scars painted across the porcelain skin
some wounds ornamented with tint of loneliness.

Luxuriant candlelight illuminates lethal hollowness
smeared across the heart's brittle parchments;
notions are graciously melting along with the gemstones
that once held spectacles of translucent fears.

Spectrum of sorrows break precious glassy lilacs
watering their ashes with pearly drops of grief;
Violin strings cut through the patchwork senses,
burning along with soul's bloody mosaics.

    WOW.
    This IS being artistically broken. The imagery used in this was superb. I really can't get over that. I am an artist, [or I try to be] and reading this was like looking at a painting.
    I loved the first stanza. Creating imagery, and using your words to express something like a flower, was creative.
    This was completely flawless in my eyes. I really mean that.

    Your detail of this poem is definitly unique. You pay so much attention to your work, you take pride in it. I can see all this by the way you write. Your wonderful with spelling, puctuation ect which really shows how much the writer appareciates their work.

    The nature effect which was portrayed here was a beautiful idea. I know you do write nature poems but not as many but it's beautiful to see you having a combination here. It gave an almost calm feeling to the atmosphere.

    The sorrow placed within each line really touched my emotions. Mixing nature and sorrow together had an amazing effect over me. I liked the fact that it was a sad poem though you used calm words not really bitter, harsh and agonizing words.

    This piece stunned me Nyell. I know why I have you on my favorite authors as you definitly are my favorite. Both you and nix anyways =)

    Wow, that was amazing. I wish I could write so artistically. You must be a painter, if you're not you'd be a beautiful one. You could actually paint something about this poem, you could even write the poem on the back of the painting, or on the painting!

    "Lilies bloom over the shards of mutilated conscience
    embedding stinging roots into its pedestal of ice" (That was my favorite.)
