A pain hard forgotten

A pain hard forgotten

She walks past it everyday but always looks away
She's broken every one of them in her house
There's just one left but she can't touch it
She wont it has to much history
She can't understand why she feels so alone
She cries herself to sleep at night
She gets up and dreads having to leave her room
She has to pass it, even if she doesn't she still does
She remembers the days when she was happy
The days when she had her family
Now she is alone
Her family taken right from underneath her
She's destroyed all of their pictures
But that one she won't touch
The portrait of her family back when they were all close
She can't let go
She gets a call, her lawyer
I'm sorry to inform you that your family's killer has been set free
She drops the phone
Grabs the picture she was always so afraid of
She hugs it tight and walks over to the window
She jumps, falling she finally feels free
Free of his curse
