Fixing a broken heart

Fixing a Broken Heart

I'm sorry for what they have done; actually they should be the sorry ones
They have all screwed up; they couldn't see what they actually had
They all needed more time, they all needed more time to see if they actually liked you
I was only given those few minutes, I didn't like you when I saw you, I loved you
Can I explain it to you, I can try but would it be better if I just showed you
They have all hurt you, and you feel a big shadow over you
A cover that prevents the sun from hitting you
You feel alone and hurt, will I ever be happy you ask
You go out and hate putting on a fake smile, will I ever be happy you ask
Well I'm not superman but ill try to bring that sunlight back
I'll be the one that opens your curtains; I'll open your heart up again
That is if you let me, I'll do whatever I have to do
What do I have to do? Should I climb a tall mountain and yell for you?
Should I find those that hurt you and give them a good boot in the ass?
What do I have to do to win your heart?
I know you need time and time I will give you
Take as long as you need I'm in no rush, I want us to succeed
Maybe what we have is true, I promise I'm true
Some days I dream about you, someday ill be with you
If I am not the one, I hope that I can still be the one that got you back up again
I only want to see you happy, if just helping you up makes you happy
Then I'm happy to have been the one who fixed the whole in your heart
I think you should know, my heart races when I think of you
I'm happy in my dreams but saddened when I wake up
Knowing that I'm still too far to have you close up
I want to tell you so much more but time will never leave and I will have plenty of it
I can't wait to see you and finally hold you, even if for only one night
I swear ill be back, ill wait for you
If you can't wait on me, I don't blame you
Just know that I'll always be here for you
