How The Raven Views The Wolf

by Oracle   Apr 19, 2008

There you are again.
Perfect in my view.
Far away for me to touch,
yet near enough to intoxicate me,
infecting my mind.

The facade crumbles,
objects melting,
creating a puddle with few shards through it.

That hellish smile on your face again,
how i wish to destroy it.
Not even doubts are enough to keep me away.
This was all an accident,
but no more.

Asphyxiation,
water everywhere,
quakes that bring all down.

That body of yours,
frail as an immortal rose.
Never has a desire been acknowledged until now.
Random acts of kindness bring you closer,
driving away any sense in me.

Desperate collisions,
long earned fixes,
a new faith.

Your innocent voice,
a sweet melody and end to all the games played.
There is but one thing to be said.
Temptation was too much for me to bear;
You're mine.

.... that was brilliant beyond words. I loved the words you used: "asphyxiation". A wonderful word I do think. :) I would give you a 50/50, but I can't. :( Just imagine I did, because I surely would!

I loved this stanza, it inspired me and reminded me a little bit of a poem I once written but deleted, sadly. :(
Keep writing, I loved this one. :) It's.... again, I'm speechless to this point.
    5/5!

    Take care. :)
