When your child crys

by Marina   Apr 24, 2008

When your child cries,
voices stir,
minds blur,
the world comes crashing down.

Innocence is lost,
you could save a life,
but you ask, what's the cost,
When your child cries.

Kids are beaten and bashed,
when they ask why,
they are whipped and lashed,
what do you do,
when your child cries.

tiny fingers, tiny toes,
but its abuse, this child knows,
so cruel, so mean,
It's high time you get clean,
When your child cries.

You threaten and tease,
"please no more,please."
all they want is to be loved,
when your child cries.

Tears streaming down an innocent face,
they asked for your hand, but you turned,
there is a lesson to be learned,
when your child cries.

When you finally see,
how horrible you could be,
look them in the eyes,
when your child cries.
