The Girl Within The Mist

by katrina   May 7, 2008

I wonder who she is, the girl within the mist
She's walking very slowly, like she's got some kind of limp.
I think she wants some peace, to set her mind at ease,
Well she won't be happy, if she wants this from me.
I wonder how she feels, if there is pain that she conceals,
Cos her face it shows restraint, so vivid yet so faint
And her foot prints disapear, like she wasn't even here
I wonder who she is, the girl within the mist

She throws away the pearls, her hair wild with curls
I don't know what to say, as the girl leads me a stray
I think she needs a smile to stay on her face a while
But she won't find this from me, and I wish that she could see
I wonder what she needs, and if her heart still bleeds
Cos there's sadness in her eyes, this she can't disguise
Her fingers crossed so tight, she's praying here tonight
Oh I wonder who she is, the girl within the mist

I wake up in my bed, forehead soaked with sweat,
Memories of dreams emerge, I remember her
Dreams and life are one, and I see what I'll become
I know who the girl is, she's me within the mist
