Darius, (page 4)

Darius and Staz walked quietly down the street on the moonlight night. So you dont think hes here? Staz asked with a little hope. Well, I was very surprised to see a sentar attack a priest and I at the church, but it could have simply gone rogue and hoped to leave no witness. However, two attacks tonight leave me very upset. Lets hope for now that it was the same sentar looking to finish its conquest, because if the order has been attacked unknowingly, then I fear the worst. Darius replied. They walked again enveloped in quiet down the street towards Teneth. Its a twenty minute walk that they knew quite well. Teneth was a large collective of the order. They had each been trained in the district known to few as Teneth. Again Darius found himself thinking of the past of when he used to walk this street free and careless unknowing of the doom all around him. Cantina, a bar he often visited with his old friends, was on his left and caught his eye. In fact it had been an incident in that very bar, that had brought him into the order a few years back. They walked for several minutes before Darius realized they had already reached the outskirts of Teneth. Staz, pressed down on his shoulder as she crouched low. The air is too silent, and even for this late, there is oddly no-one to be seen. she said as Darius reached the same conclusion. They crept around a building and peered deeper into the district. There is someone. Staz said as she bolted forward to inform the individual of the nights events. NO! yelled Darius but not quick enough to warn her of the coming trap. Multiple black forms wisped down quickly from the building tops. Gliding through the air, they pulled their scythes from there black evil cloaks, ready to end her life without pause. Staz heard his cry and looked up to see the coming wrath. She skid to a stop and then leaped backwards as far as she could all the while pulling forth her truly compacted bow. At the same time, Darius ran forward whips in hand and arms held back ready to strike when he got within distance. He got halfway to Staz and let loose his two coiled whips into the shadowed forms that hadnt noticed his rear entrance. Staz shot two arrows in separate directions at the sentars coming in front. She stopped one cold, but didnt even slow the other as it flew towards her. It barreled on, scythe held high as it reached its striking range. Staz froze in fear as the creature loomed over her, too quick had it reached her to string a shot. The scythe came down swiftly but was swung wide at the last moment when a whip head crashed hard into it. Staz tipped her head back to see Darius fire filled eyes while he swung his second whip again to fend off the large and towering opponent. Staz crawled to her feet again and quickly strung two more shots; she sent them at the two sentars who were again standing behind Darius. This time she hit both her marks and they fell limp to the ground. Staz and Darius both ran back down the ally they had came in on as she dropped a flare behind them.
