Sonnet 5: Love of those departed

by Prasad Baadkar   May 15, 2008

Wonder to where all names among names went lost,
That those blind in eyes search marbles white,
And hands of stopped clocks try altering every past
Their ghosts talk of winters in summer's light
Why then princess dream to lock thirsty skies
When clouds rain in sweetened odors of roses red,
And Secret hearts have let go of all affairs
Since every slave of yours was long declared dead
Many doors closed have since been knocked high
All those once you yourself ordered eternal locked
Now what to pity, what to sigh
Left alone like that last drop of oceans soaked
Now lament no more, cry not o fake hearted
As wrinkles search among souls, Love of those departed.

.... ok, speechless.... that was bloody brilliant! Far better than any of the sonnets I have ever wrote, and by far the best sonnet I ever had the honor of reading. :)

"than" in the fifth line should be "then"

Overall, this is truly a wonderful write, so beautiful and profound from the beginning to the end. I admire poems that can take me to completely different world and this one is certainly one of those. I deeply enjoyed in every line. Also, the imagery that you portrayed is magnificent.

    Keep up!
