The Open Door

Speechless
no words come to mind
I can't make since
of the noises around
so confusing my thoughts have become

The room is spinning
faster and faster the walls take flight
images become distorted
beneath the powerful storm
I can no longer see the path in-front of me

My heart is racing
searching for a place to stop
tighter and tighter its slowly clinching
the sharp pains begin to spread
I can't hold on much longer

My mind is paused
holding on to the words you just spoke
trying to move forward, but the gears are jammed
everything seems out of place
a new picture is before me
but I cannot find my place within

The seconds are stalling
all time has come to a stop
its creeping up on me
getting ready to strike
this mysterious emotion is soon to burst

I can feel the walls collapsing
the pressure is so strong
forcing my soul to take the next step
the closed door, now open, ready for discovery....
