Beautiful Sickness ((The Sea Runs Red))

by StandStill   May 20, 2008

When did this clock start screaming?
When did these walls begin to bleed?
A lonely desperation in her breast
to harvest desire's seed

Look up into the corners,
corners of your room, of your mind,
can you see the bloody curses raining down?
blood seems to be the only thing to bind

Lunar eclipse and the sky burns red
Red like well-loved wrists
Avert your eyes, oh ye sinner,
And blow to the moon a liar's kiss

The oceans are running thick with blood,
and all the lights are burning black,
alone in a world devoid of compassion,
a liar's land that doesn't love lovers back

Dangle salvation in front of noses
just out of reach, too much like the stars...
watch as photographs fade like memories,
and we all know memories fade with the scars

**venting, not true**

This was a beautiful piece of poetry combining a type of despiration and a strive to see the things happening, the things that sometimes you can't see with your eyes.
    5/5 and nomination. Good luck!
