For you.

by BlueDreams   May 31, 2008

Each Spring, the mild wind will chase the snow,
The daffodils will lay a golden carpet in forests,
And the nightingale will charm us by its song,
I shall have a soft spot for you.

The sun will spatter Summer of its light,
Gilding the crops for our future bread,
And the heat haze will veil the skyline,
I shall have a soft spot for you.

Autumn will bloodstain the trees
And the clouds, in evening, announcing the wind,
And that swallows will get together for their so long migration,
I shall have a soft spot for you.

In Winter, along the iced ponds
It will be so good to walk together on dead leaves,
and to look at the snow whirling with the wind,
I shall have a soft spot for you.

I shall hear your voice,
And read your so soft and tender letters,
For ever my dear, for ever for life,
I shall have much more than a soft spot for you.

Welcome back :) I was so excited when I saw you had posted a new poem...and it is a beauty.

In Winter, along the iced ponds
It will be so good to walk together on dead leaves,
and to look at the snow whirling with the wind,
I shall have a soft spot for you.

The imagery in each stanza is wonderful. Your love is shining from each word. I picked this sanza because I love the winter. I love how you have brought each season into this poem.

    I shall hear your voice,
And read your so soft and tender letters,
For ever my dear, for ever for life,
I shall have much more than a soft spot for you.

This last stanza ends this piece so well. How many fond moments we hold in our hearts for the one we love.

    Excellent!
    Love Cindy
