YOUR PRESENCE

by Fay   Jun 4, 2008

She still sees you in her dreams and remembers each scene.
It won't leave her alone, it just won't go away,
As if it's eating at her flesh slowly each day.
Visualising him beside her, as if his presence remains with her.

They are not together anymore; his voice is still whispering in her ears,
Has her past returned to bring her, her old flaws and fears?
Why is he still here? It's over, he doesn't want to leave or accept,
Even their memories aren't fading away nor the days she wept.

In her life he remains, staining her past, present and future without any signs,
Hesitating while dreaming, "it's not you again", she mimes.
Breathing getting heavier as she slowly falls into a deep sleep,
Leave her alone, you're the memory she doesn't want to keep.

Fragile and raw, psychologically exhausted and afraid of dreaming,
Deep inside, she's still silently screaming.
Just when she thought that she had recovered,
She is still not over him, that is what she discovered...
