The Daughter You Wanted The Most

by Coldstone   Jun 5, 2008

'Don't be such a slob! Stop being so fussy!'
You always told me but I never did worry
Examples of my sister you used to cite
Whenever I came home after having a fight
'Learn from your sister for God's sake!'
I smiled like I didn't care but it was fake!
Like my sister, I wasn't perfect
But I was still your daughter no matter how imperfect
Maybe I was jealous of her but how can that be?
My sister meant the whole world to me!
I cared for her but I never could express
Like many other things I left it for you to guess
And like those other things you ignored this one too
Thought I hated my own sister, didn't you?
Who has come will have to go
This law of nature we all know
The law we sooner or later have to accept
Like I had to when she left
God knows how I begged him to give her life and take mine
Atleast there'll be one little thing that I'll do fine
Then one december,to join her you too left me in this frost
No wonder she always was the daughter you wanted the most!
