Love can't undo

by FaithHopeNLove   Jun 10, 2008

White as stone, cold as ice
her smile lost in sacrafice.
She'd fought her best
left faith to the rest.
Though she played it tough
it simply wasn't enough.

He held her hand
begging to understand.
He loved her with all his heart
now, piece by piece, it fell apart.
The pain was too much to bare
it just didn't seem fair.

Tears streamed down his face
as he walked away from the dreaded place.
They closed the lid, lowered the box
the dirt piled in like a thousand locks.
Their love was pure and true
but death is something love can't undo.
