The Day "I" Was Cut Out

by Anthony Duvalle   Jun 15, 2008

_ can see you floating away
Drifting to his heart from mine
_ wish _ could kill my thoughts
Slit the wrists of measurable time

Your touch is all _ ever wanted
Like sweet heroin inside my vein
_ lost that feeling in seconds
Every time _ breathe theres pain

He makes me smile you said
The words slit me like a knife
If only _ could have died that day
The day _ was cut out of your life

*If you didn't already know, I took out the "I"s in this one because "I" was cut out of her life. Just some play with words.*

Well done and an interesting twist to structure.."out of the box".
Second stanza fourth line "theres" to "there's" aside from this minor flub it is an excellent write.
    As always an opinion.

I like the poem It really illustrates the emotion, feelings, and pain of rejection and the void of ego
