To breathe ((Through Him))

by StandStill   Jun 22, 2008

Just another day from school.
More than one hundred eighty, you know!
Too many days for the teasing to shriek;
far too many days for me to go.

Home in this place that is my safety zone
where my mom hates me and my dad doesn't care.
"Welcome home" screams in my ears
while at the floor I stare.

Stumbled down this ugly hall
to the bathroom sweet and cool.
Welcome to my sanctuary .
My god is precious and cruel.

My savior eats my blood each night…
made of metal, cool and sharp.
My tired sacrifice is ne'er enough,
not for my god of the dark.

Worship my lovely razorblade,
do you see it, oh one and all!
It helps me to float along on heavenly cloud nine.
Can you hear how it does call?

I scream out to a silent god,
but razorblades don't ever answer back.
Fall down for one last time,
eaten by the ocean crimson and black.

------------------------------------------------------------

Awake into a lighted place.
Sweet voice cries into my ears,
painted with pain and suffering
ugly melody of fear.

Flinch away from the bright light,
the sweet one that hides within my mind.
Christ cries out against this sin.
But am I too late? Razor has already dined...

The sound of a person crying out,
it breaks lightly upon my ears.
Light gives way to skin beaten red
and I see my savior dear.

HERE is my God, oh my Jesus.
He died here for me today.
The red ribbon of sacrifice now lays the same
for the truest Lamb was finally slain.

Oh, here is my God, my Jesus.
Sweet savior, and I deny His blood?
Why do I fall down again?
When Christ has already stood?

So today I make my stand for Him,
forget the world that wants my pain.
Razor clatters unto the floor.
Starting over, because for me, the Lamb was slain.

Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

Matthew 28:18 and 19
