Inner Peace

by Fredy   Jun 24, 2008

Today I'll tell you a story,
for those who wanted to read a poem I'm sorry,
but please keep reading what I'm about to share,
because its important for those who dare,,,
to see the truth behind our biggest lie
that to find peace you need to die.

you see i know man, we grew up together,
our friendship was as pure as a whit feather.
we were always playing around,
doing mischief and wrestling each other to the ground.

when were Little we used to play in the back of my house,
things like tic-tack-toe or the cat and the mouse,
but no everything was always fun,
as early at 8 yrs/old he told me with life he was DONE,
he often slept over,
bvecause with dinner his mom didn't bother,
his dad was drunk most of the time,
and he was always asking me for a dime....

when were nine,
he said everything was Gona be fine....
but he never spent time at his house anymore...
rappers and rock bands he adored,
he fantasized with being 15 and staying there for ever.
he said at that age he could whatever....

then our 15th birthday came,
he had no money, girls or fame....
life had kicked him hard he said,
he said he wished he was dead....
we stopped hanging out,
said i didn't know what he was about.....

whee were 17 i saw him on the streets,
he was rapping along some loud beats.
he was cutting class he said,
and instead of going he stayed in bed,
he wasn't the one i met,
he looked older he was on drugs i bet...

and the he disappeared,
and the worst i had to fear....
but last year i got a letter,
he said poetry saved his life and made him feel better
and now you are reading a poem his,
like very few he feels tremendously at peace....
