Little Miss Alice Lost

by RetroRavey   Jun 30, 2008

(Alice, Alice
Come and Play...)

She is,
Shattered like her looking glass,
Lost in her Wonderland...
She is Alice in the dark,
She is little miss Alice lost.

(Alice, Alice
Stay today...)

But where might little Alice stay?
She has been ripped and torn
Like her disfigured world,
She's been broken apart
By promises not kept.
And as her mind spins
The colors mix and blur...

(Alice, Alice...)

She begins to forget,
She begins to wonder
Who Alice is.
Her body ripped so far from her mind
That she no longer knows
Reality from fantasy,
And her home became the place
Where giant puppies play,
And the roses are painted red,
And the Queen of hearts
Shouts, "Off with her head!"

(Alice..)

And she sits as the worlds war and collide...
Alice is lost,
And the Cheshire grins.

Awesome. I loved this poem. Your word choice was excellent.

"And she sits as the worlds war and collide...
    Alice is lost,
    And the Cheshire grins. "

^^ I really liked the ending. It just kind of.. stopped. I don't know why, but I've always liked that.

    5/5
