A World Torn Apart

by Sole   Jul 14, 2008

A guilty voice speaks with conviction
As an innocent mind attracts addiction
Sorrow claims Loves' bitter affliction
Brought him down, Love brought him down

Sincerity spits sarcastic lies
As Jealousy, in awe of Elegance, cries
Under the pitiful stars in the skies
Anger loses his vengeful frown

Modesty reveals his arrogant self
Greed's over-run by power and wealth
Happiness hides on Sorrows' shelf
Life in shatters, nothings the same

Temptation resists as Hunger is fed
Obsession, away from his weakness led
Hope gives up, Faith is dead
A world torn apart, pleasure is pain
