THE LESSON OF LIFE

I cannot get it out of my head
the screams the pain
it seemed so unreal so harsh
hit afta hit, swear afta swear

neva have i been so scared'
neva have i been so hurt
the images i still get..
the smell of flesh ill neva forget

it happens every year or so
you show me what life is really about
u scare life upon me
you make me close everyone out

i cant explain the bruises or cuts
i cant cry cuz then they'll know
it lesson i have to learn
peace is really wat i yearn

cant u show me another way?
cant it wait another day?
life painful with you teaching me it
surely it can be this rough

iam growing up so fast even faster with u
please have mercy
i know life is hard
cuz of you my life ill guard

the poem is about abuse..this child was beat every so often so they would grow up strong, seems a bit odd to picture your family beatin down on u for no reason. but its all about how those beating made the person be more aware of the dangers of life, to show there will be pain..its betta to be beat down by someone u love than to be beat down by someone who couldnt car less*
