I'll Succeed~Trois par huit

by Poet on the Piano   Jul 26, 2008

Sunlight dawns,
Past the moistened green lawns,
Lies a crystalline lake, pure and blue.

My vision is a blur as I run through the dew,
The ground now a bunch of mud, sticking to my shoe.

Heart pounding, racing with utter speed,
I will sure take the lead,
I'll succeed.

*A Trois par huit has three stanzas that go like this: 3,2,3 or 3,3,2. The syllable count is: 3,6,9,12,12,9,6,3 and has a rhyming scheme of AAB BB CCC or AAB BBC CC. The last line of the poem summarizes everything up and should be the title of the poem. *

The opening lines were amazing and the imagery portrayed was beyond perfect. Definately a 5/5 for this piece, I felt as if I was watching it and not reading, a hard thing to pull off as a writer. Amazing job 5/5 GG23

Ooh. This is very pretty. It paints a picture, and the image, I feel, is beautiful. Also, I like how you wrote such a great piece to this form, as it looks like it would be difficult. Great job. 5/5
