What is God?

by TorturedTourniquet   Jul 27, 2008

Stare at the sky, what do you see?
Nothing too special, not really.
There's nothing really there, not for us to see
And there's nothing in the sky to tell us
To tell us what to do, what's right
There's nothing there to help us when we pray
There's nothing there to take away the pain
There's nothing there to hear what we wish
And yet we have faith.
We wish time and time again that there is a God
We hope that there's something out there
But when others search for the same thing, we persecute them.
We don't allow them to worship because they are the "infidels" or the "sinners"
And worse, we persecute those of a certain category
Just because they live in a way that is different
So what is God when we think of that?
What is God when he persecutes those that look only for his help, his love?
An abandoning parent.
He lets go of those that he created because they are imperfect.
What is this God that you worship?
Mine is all accepting, but there's also another, a Goddess.
Equal representation.
True love.
