Lifted

by Sole   Aug 1, 2008

Pulsing passion, as each vein is filled with gold
Arms outstretched, float on air, I leave my home of old
Awe inspiring beauty, let surreality unfold
Great sense of eternity, happiness takes hold

I wanted to age further before my time came to an end
Never got a chance to wish farewell to my best friend
But this feeling of forever takes over as I ascend
A pure choir greet me, as I begin to comprehend

Astounding bursts of colour stain the golden sky
A booming voice, then silence, there's a glint in every eye
Belonging grips my heart, regret and anger die
Accepted into Heaven, St Peter lets me by

Lifted up into the arms of angels divine
Given the cup of christ, I drink the sacred wine
Joyful praises spring from these blessed lips of mine
Now I understand, God's flawless design

that is my favorite stanza. It's because it explains everything. The words are also the most beautiful. They are sweet, and creative, but interesting.
I like this piece, but I think mostly it needs more color. Vibrant words need to make it shine. Make is glamorous and full of glimmer. Make it amazing. Other than that, it's good.
    Creative!!
