Understanding is difficult

Closing my eyes and breathing deeply,
understanding can come difficultly
but it comes all the same,
I know that this can't be helped
so I smile through the tears.

Getting mad or raging
won't do much good at all
but make this twice as hard
so I take a couple more deep breaths
and give you what you need.

You need me to be understanding,
supportive and encouraging
so thats what I'm trying to be,
I love you with all my heart,
to much so to do anything else.

No point in crying or getting mad
although thats what I truly feel like,
I know that this is hard for you too
and I'm not the only one disappointed
or frustrated at this turn of events.

I know your scared of me getting tired,
tired of waiting this out
but no matter how tired of it I might get
I'll still wait for as long as it takes
because your worth every minute.
