Fragmented

by Normal is the Watchword   Aug 19, 2008

Isolated...crumbled...the fallen diamond
Has rested; fragmented;
Engraved beneath an illuminative eye
Disrupted in the dark
Curved inward; bound uncovered
Naked in the dusk of itself
A reflective former shell awoken
Before Stitched broken...

Author's note: There is only one thing that can scratch a diamond so see if you know what it is.

    Hmm is the answer another diamond? I dont know...

    This was amazing! Each word just fit perfectly, there were no fillers or anything of that sort, just straight poetry. I loved the words you choose to use here because they were packed with meaning and power. The descriptions here helped created a flawless piece of imagery in my mind throughout the time I was reading the piece. The flow here was just perfect and overall made this an amazing piece. Nothing left to say but that I loved it. Your talent just shines through this piece.

    Well done.

    "Has rested; fragmented;"
    `Umm, I'm pretty sure you need commas instead of semi-colon's...

    "Engraved beneath an illuminative eye"
    `Word choice is fabulous! Engraved, illuminative, ect. Wonderful words.. great word choice. Very descriptive.

    Overall, a wonderful write. Unique idea honestly. I really liked it. It makes you think as to what that object or thing is that can scratch a diamond. Norhan had a good idea, another diamond. I am not very sure as to what it is though. But another diamond does make sense. Unique poem. Wonderful word choice! 5/5
