Meaning Of My Name - Poetic Junkie

by BornAgainWriter   Aug 25, 2008

I'm a homeless person instead of craving water, I crave words,
Instead of wanting a house I want a lifetime supply of paper and ink,
I don't need a shrink maybe you just need to rethink, I'm fine as long as I'm living by the poetic standards.

I rhyme everything that will slip the tip of my pink tongue,
I inject the sweet words into my brain, I can feel the pain trust me I'm not insane,
It's moving through out my body I feel so high - it stung,
This is so much better than weed, meth and that white shit cocaine.

I'm a drug addict; addicted to words and the meaning behind each one,
The way to use it in such a sentence and the way not too,
When the day ends I am no where near done,
How can you listen to this shit?! So blue and so true.

I got nothing but millions of empty ink bottles all over my living room,
Balled up pieces of paper all in my kitchen,
I chose poetry over having a cleaned up home, food in my stomach and water to hydrate me,
The injection sight it getting annoyed with itchen.

I won't quit, I'm an addict.
