Summer of Love

by Bill Turner   Aug 26, 2008

It is the summer of our love...
Burning bright and hot for the world to see...
I give my life to you, for as long as I shall live...
The fall of my life may be upon me...
Driving me into the grave...only time will tell...
The doctors can all go to hell...
I will live each day as I always have...
With abandon and joy...enjoying my time with you
As the leaves turn a blazon hue...
Fall brings with it a chill...do not shiver or shake
For I hope to always warm your heart...Or...
At least the thought of me...
I may yet see winter with you...and a spring time of love
As the seasons come and go...know you are in my heart
Whether with you or apart...

Loved how you incorporated all the four seasons......constant love which repeats on and on ............beauty all around in so many ways. And in good times or bad, nature holds the biggest strength. Very nicely written.Wonderful read.

This is so beautifully sad. The emotion mixed with the seasons really make this piece.
