Soft Gray Dust

by Shasya   Sep 8, 2008

Burrows with shadows of an unholy glint
Deep below any level of sanity
Rise to fall into our misery and gloom
Like the darkness that crept over the sky
When dusk began to set in, in our souls
By the sinister stroke of the sunset streak
That lashed its way through us, to break out
Melancholy, where there was joy
And hatred in place of adoration
So dark so deep, and yet so hollow
So lifeless, yet strong this power
That ruined us only for the ability to seek
Attainment of a more sinister scheme

Now dawn breaks out, the light that flows
Cannot make clear any moral spirituality
And all it shines down upon is ashy dust
Soft gray dust, gleaming in the light of the sun.
