House Sitting

by I Seem to be the Heartless   Sep 9, 2008

I'm sitting here in front of your T.V
But you're not here at my side,
You're out having the holiday of your life.
I don't mind -
I mean, I did offer to watch your house
While you're away.
But I could never have realised
Just how lonely this place could be.

Laying on your bed,
I turn to where you're supposed to be,
But you're not there.
I pull the blankets higher
And hug your pillow.
Your scent lingers here and I miss you so bad.

I wish you would come back today.
I miss your arms around me;
Miss your kisses so sweet;
Miss the sound of your voice.
I long for you, Baby,
More with every passing second.
Come back home to me today -
I need you here right now...
