Remember?

by Ignoris   Sep 11, 2008

Remember that time
The bee stung your arm
I choked on that mint
We ran in alarm

Remember that time
You kicked my face
As you flipped on the bars
With deceiving grace

Remember those times
We made all those forts
Blankets in bedrooms
A castle of sorts

Remember that time
We cleaned out the sand
From all of those trays
That class was so bland

Remember those times
We made up those names
Green Sleeves, Melon Head
We must have been insane

Remember that time
The cookie really bit me
I couldn't stop laughing
I'm sure you'd agree

Remember that time
You laid on the track
So I called you 'speed bump'
And gave you a whack

Remember that time
That birthday surprise
I had no idea
Can't help but love you guys

Remember that time
He said he tripped on a rock
But nothing was there
As we continued to walk

Remember that time
The page had been turned
And then it was half time
We finally learned

Remember those times
When we'd laugh all day long
No one understood
So they couldn't laugh along

Remember those times
Those talks that we had
You always would listen
And find good in the bad

Do you remember those times?
All of you, my friends?
'Cause I miss you all
And I will to the end

* Dedicated to the friends of my past, and I hope of future years yet to come. Those mentioned: Neil, Natalie, Lauren, Danielle, Michael, Yasmin, Holden, Dillon, David

* I appreciate every rate and comment, the favor will most definitely be returned, take care

This sounds like a song to me--the stanzas are very lyrical sounding with their rhyme. I liked it; it brings to mind all the happy memories of the past.

Another briliant poem, and a pleasant change of topic.

    Keep it up!
