Heart of Stone

by Blueleo   Sep 22, 2008

Spitting words with no meaning
Wide awake constantly dreaming
Look around to find the lost soul
Concentrating to forget ones role

Everything is too perfect in a way
Perception is the method to stray
A glass is as full as ones own will
Looking deeper then one can drill

Empty inside by choice of feeling
Discarding what seems appealing
Twisted, riveting, purest emotion
Tearing down to the core erosion

Nothing to mend in a heart of stone
The sword of truth is standing alone
The balance of power sways too far
Hope glimmering in a far away star

^^ somehow this stanza strikes me as so sad..Reading your poem I get the feeling you are going through some kind of ordeal...
I hope you are doing alright..
