Silent Prayer on Sunday

With a silent prayer
I promised my life
Surrendered my heart
And gave you all of me
I am not perfect
Still, you bless me daily
You've carried me through troubled water
My Lord and Savior
I felt you holding me
Through those lonely nights
I'm grateful for this peace I feel
And hopeful for tomorrow
It's because of you that I'm no longer afraid
You saved me from my fears
And wiped away every tear
The only tears I cry
Are tears of joy from knowing you
When my days get hectic
I look up to the clouds
And smile, for I have peace of mind
I have a friend near by
Who will shelter me from pain
I have a true friend beyond the blue
Who will provide and protect
Even through torrential rain
Hear me on this glorious day Lord
As I come to give my thanks for all you've done
You've lifted me up above the realms of evil
And shined your grace unto my heart
Thank you Lord for giving me life
As your name exudes happiness within my soul
Thank you Lord for erasing every doubt
And thank you Lord for accepting my imperfections
No matter how big or small they may be
Your divine perfection
Has given me the faith to believe
The strength to lead a sin free life
And the courage to ask for forgiveness
At times when I may fail
I may stray from this blessed boulevard
But I'll never travel too far
For the radiance in your script will catch me
As it shines too bright to be ignored
Dear Lord, thank you for filling my heart with serenity
As I walk within your word
