Happy Birthday

I know how close we used to be
I remember how much fun we used to have
I loving seeing you smile so happily
But now, these are all used-to-be's

I feel secure and happy around you
never alone again, I thought
You made me feel accepted in this grey world
I never had this feeling for years

Even when the snow falls
No matter how cold the world gets
You are always warm and always there for me

You had my back
No matter how big the problem seems
Now, with no doubt
I will do the same

Whatever that had happened between us
I am clueless without a hint
But how I wish
To make our friendship alright again

I understand how much you hate me now
Weird as it sounds
I don't hate you
But still, I am wounded by your words

Despite everything that had happened
I don't mind saying that I still care for you
But mostly I want to let you know
How much you mean to me
