Wish

There were so many wishes that I hoped to have
Yet there was only one that's always in my mind
Every time I thought of it,
My heart just breaks knowing it'll never be...

How do I tell you that you are the one?
Though things are easier to be said than done
I wished for a shooting star to come out
But only the lonely moon was in sight

Really, all I wanted was to hold you tight
That was the little thing I was wishing every night
All I needed was for you to feel
That every beat of my heart was for you to hear

As I stood here alone in the rain
I hoped for the best of it to heal my pain
My tears were warm even though the rain was cold
I thought of the three little words that were left untold

If I could have just one wish tonight,
I'd wish for a shooting star instead of the moonlight
That when it did, I'd say what I wished was true
I'd whisper "I wish he love me, too."
