Trapped

The light at the end

A beacon of hope
The gate swings shut
Closing off our escape

Every minute away

While we're locked inside
Forgive and forget
That it should be this way

Still crying on the inside

When we're sealed away
Slipping off the chains
Though still held here

Please reveal a new way

With a different light
To bring us out of dark
Away from this cage

To stop dying from the inside

We find the light at the end
Where the gates fall open
